REFUND POLICY Iron & Light Studios Effective Date: April 21, 2026 At Iron & Light Studios ("we", "our", or "us"), we are committed to providing a high-quality photography experience. This Refund Policy outlines our terms regarding payments, retainers, cancellations, and refunds. By booking a session or service, you agree to the terms outlined below. 1. NON-REFUNDABLE RETAINER A non-refundable retainer is required to secure all photography bookings. The retainer reserves your session date and time Once paid, the retainer is non-refundable under all circumstances No booking is confirmed until the retainer has been received This retainer compensates Iron & Light Studios for reserving your date, turning away other potential clients, and beginning pre-session planning. 2. PAYMENTS The remaining balance (if applicable) must be paid on or before the agreed-upon date outlined in your contract Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of services without refund of the retainer 3. CLIENT CANCELLATIONS If the client chooses to cancel: The non-refundable retainer will not be returned Any additional payments made beyond the retainer may be refunded at our discretion, depending on the timing of the cancellation and work already completed 4. RESCHEDULING We understand that life happens. Rescheduling may be permitted under the following conditions: Requests must be made with reasonable notice Rescheduling is subject to availability The retainer may be transferred to a new date at our discretion Iron & Light Studios reserves the right to limit the number of reschedules. 5. PHOTOGRAPHER CANCELLATION In the unlikely event that Iron & Light Studios must cancel due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond our control: All payments, including the retainer, will be refunded We will make reasonable efforts to assist in finding a replacement photographer if requested 6. NO REFUNDS FOR COMPLETED SERVICES Due to the nature of photography services: No refunds will be issued once services have been performed No refunds will be issued after digital images have been delivered 7. CREATIVE DISCRETION By booking with Iron & Light Studios, you acknowledge: Editing style, composition, and artistic direction are at the photographer’s discretion Dissatisfaction based on style preference does not qualify for a refund 8. FORCE MAJEURE Iron & Light Studios is not responsible for cancellations or interruptions caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to: Weather conditions Acts of God Government restrictions Emergencies In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule, but refunds are not guaranteed. 9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Ontario and Canada: Iron & Light Studios’ liability is limited to the total amount paid by the client We are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages 10.
